Last week, here in Texas, we were thrust into a situation that we weren’t quiet ready to handle as a state. The temperatures hit record lows, our power grids failed leaving thousands of people without electricity and to top it off the same number of peoples water pipes either froze or busted causing loss of water and damage. As land investors, this got us thinking because we spend most of our time selling the dream of having that property you can escape to and get off grid. What do we really know about it though? Could we even handle it? Would getting out there and spending time doing it make us better investors? All great questions which we’re going to dive into today. What do you think? The weather here in Texas has been absolutely crazy this past week and with it came a whole list of problems that Texas wasn’t ready for.
