Recently we spoke with another Investor who, up to this point, had built their entire business off of the relationships they’ve built over the last year. That really struck us as odd for several reasons. For one it seems to limit your ability to scale and two, you’re relying on other people to bring you deals. Today we’re gonna talk this through because the answer isn’t as simple as “Yes or No”. The answer may lie somewhere between and depend on what your goals are and what you want to do. To say it’s been a crazy week is an understatement. The hysteria over a virus has become worse than the virus itself. Everything from schools and concerts to sporting events and travel has been brought to a halt. People are literally fighting over toilet paper and the stores can’t keep up with demand. Has the country lost it’s mind? Are people such sheep that they can’t calm down and think for themselves? Sure the Coronavirus is a real thing that can have some terrible effects but is this the zombie apocalypse that people are treating it as? This has to stop. Businesses and people lives are being seriously effected by this and if you’re listening to this show and you’re one of the people spreading the hysteria then you need to get a grip on your self and become part of the solution and not the problem.

Being an entrepreneur is hard work. There’s a million different things that need to get done and if you’re a new business you may be the only one around to do these things. You wear the hat of the Bookkeeper, the Secretary, the Acquisitions Manager, the Sales Manager, the whatever the heck you need to be do get the job done person. As your business grows you may be able to farm that stuff out but that doesn’t mean that the work slows down. Now you have different things to keep you busy and at some point you’re going to get tired. You’re going to ask yourself if it’s worth it or if you have it in you to keep going. We’re hear to today to tell you that these thoughts are normal and that every business owner has had them. The one thing that is definitely not okay is quitting. You have a dream, a goal, a desire for a better life and those things will not happen if you stop working. Nobody will fill in the gaps for you if you give up. The business essentially dies at that point and you didn’t come this far to only come this far. So if this is something you’re dealing with, take second and breathe then put your head back down and get after it!
